The images in this collection are composites. I use the photographic digital composite to propose a number of possibilities surrounding the temporal experience of the moment captured as a photograph. The work is concerned with the constant migration between history, memory, fact and imagination, which proposes the occupation of an impossible space. The encounter or moment proposed by these images is impossible whilst appearing, based on the conventions of the documentary aesthetic, plausible, the people and places all correct, but as a result of composite, the moment and therefore the truth proposed by the moment is unstable. There and not, never having been.
